World Travel & Culture Expo 2026 to Bring Tourism Industry to Bangkok

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in partnership with the Tourism Council of Thailand (TCT) and Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group, has announced that the World Travel & Culture Expo 2026 (WTCE 2026) will take place from 29 to 31 October at IMPACT Mueang Thong Thani in Bangkok.

The event is designed to support tourism, trade and investment while strengthening Thailand’s role as a regional hub for tourism, culture, entertainment and business across ASEAN.

Speaking at the launch, Pasakorn Rangsiwatanasak, Secretary to the Minister of Tourism and Sports, said the expo reflects Thailand’s commitment to using tourism, culture, sport and creative industries to support economic growth, encourage investment and strengthen international partnerships.

TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said the event supports the organisation’s Value over Volume strategy by promoting meaningful travel experiences, sustainable tourism and business collaboration. She added that TAT will help connect Thai businesses with international investors, technology providers and creative industry partners.

WTCE 2026 builds on the 2025 edition, which featured 300 exhibitors from 23 countries and attracted participants from 36 countries, according to the organisers.

Held under the theme “Smartly Link the World”, the expo will include five specialised exhibitions covering amusement parks, billiards and indoor leisure, LED display and entertainment technology, film and television production technology, and intellectual property and creative industries.

The event will also host discussions on tourism safety, sustainability, visitor experience and emerging technologies, bringing together representatives from government agencies and the tourism industry.

China remains Thailand’s largest international visitor market. Between 1 January and 20 July 2026, Thailand welcomed more than 2.87 million Chinese visitors, representing year-on-year growth of 14.76%. TAT expects the country to receive more than 5.13 million Chinese visitors during 2026.

WTCE Bangkok 2026 is expected to offer tourism businesses, investors and industry stakeholders opportunities to strengthen partnerships and expand cooperation across Thailand, China and the wider ASEAN region.
