ITB Berlin Introduces New Exhibition Layout for 2027 Event

ITB Berlin will introduce a revised exhibition layout for its 2027 edition, scheduled from 16 to 18 March 2027, as part of the ongoing modernisation of the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.

The changes coincide with the construction of dock9, a new multi-purpose conference and event venue being built on the site of the former Hall 9. The revised layout is intended to improve the use of exhibition space while creating clearer thematic zones and better visitor flow across the event.

During the redevelopment, exhibitors currently located in Halls 7.1c, 8.1, 9 and 10.1 will be relocated to CityCube Berlin, which will serve as an exhibition venue for the first time. The move will provide additional exhibition space while integrating the CityCube more closely into the overall event layout.

According to Deborah Rothe, Director of ITB Berlin, the revised hall layout is designed to better meet the needs of exhibitors and trade visitors by bringing together related tourism sectors and making thematic areas easier to navigate.

Rather than a complete restructuring, the changes focus on selected exhibitor groups, creating clearer exhibition clusters and improving networking opportunities within individual tourism segments.

CityCube Berlin to Play a Larger Role

CityCube Berlin will become a key part of the exhibition grounds for ITB Berlin 2027. The venue offers flexible exhibition space, dedicated entrances, its own taxi drop-off points and convenient access via Messe Süd S-Bahn station.

The additional exhibition area will accommodate larger stands and provide more capacity for technology and service-focused exhibitors while supporting the event’s revised layout.

dock9 Construction Drives Layout Changes

Construction of dock9 will begin after the demolition of Hall 9 in October 2026. The new conference and event centre will replace the existing hall, prompting ITB Berlin to reorganise exhibition space ahead of the 2027 event.

Exhibitor Relocation Underway

ITB Berlin said it is working closely with exhibitors affected by the relocation plans to identify suitable alternative locations. Stand allocations are still being finalised and are expected to be completed later this year.

To support exhibitors and visitors, organisers will introduce updated exhibition maps, improved on-site signage and digital updates through the ITB app and other official communication channels.
