IHG Workplace Recognition Highlights Employee Culture in India

IHG Hotels & Resorts has been ranked No. 4 in the Great Place to Work India 2026 Best Companies To Work For study, placing the hospitality company among India’s top five employers across industries.

The latest recognition reflects IHG’s progress in workplace culture over the past few years, moving from No. 38 in 2023 to No. 27 in 2024, before reaching the top five in 2026. The company was also ranked 11th among Asia’s Best Workplaces in 2025 and has received Great Place to Work India ‘Legend’ status for its continued focus on building a high-trust and inclusive workplace.

More than 2,000 companies participated in this year’s study. Rankings were determined using Great Place to Work’s methodology, which combines anonymous employee feedback through the Trust Index™ Survey with an assessment of leadership, workplace culture and people practices.

Commenting on the recognition, Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South-West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said:

Sudeep Jain

“Being recognized as the No. 4 Best Company to Work For in India is an incredibly proud moment for all of us at IHG. What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it is a testament to the experiences of our colleagues and the culture we’ve built together.

“Over the past few years, we’ve made a conscious effort to create an environment where our people feel trusted, supported and empowered to grow. Moving from No. 38 in 2023 and No. 27 in India in 2024 to the Top 5 this year, while also being recognised among Asia’s Best Workplaces in 2025, underscores that continued commitment. As we continue to expand our business across South West Asia, we remain equally committed to investing in our people because they are at the heart of everything we do.”

The company said it continues to focus on creating a workplace where employees can develop professionally and personally through its ‘Room for You’ framework.

IHG also invests in leadership development and career progression through programmes including Journey to GM, RISE, IHG Academy, Aspire and Embark. Employee wellbeing initiatives include a five-day work week, while partnerships with NGOs and community organisations support inclusive hiring. The company said that more than 2% of its workforce comprises People of Determination. Employee recognition programmes such as IHG Celebrate Service Week also form part of its people strategy.

IHG continues to expand its presence in India, where it currently operates 52 hotels across six brands, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort and Holiday Inn Express. The company has a pipeline of 98 hotels planned to open over the next three to five years.
