Organization Redesign Supports IHCL’s Accelerate 2030 Strategy
Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced an organizational redesign as part of its Accelerate 2030 strategy, aimed at supporting the company’s next phase of growth.
Under its five-year roadmap, IHCL plans to expand its portfolio to 700 hotels, increase consolidated revenue to INR 15,000 crore, and achieve a Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) of 20% while continuing to strengthen its hospitality business.
New Business Structure
To support its expanding portfolio, IHCL has reorganized its operations into two business verticals:
- Traditional Businesses
- Growth Businesses
The Traditional Businesses vertical will oversee brands including Taj, Claridges Collection, Atmantan, Brij, SeleQtions, Clarks, Gateway and Vivanta.
The Growth Businesses vertical will focus on developing and expanding emerging brands such as Ginger, Tree of Life, Qmin and ama Stays & Trails.
Leadership Appointments
As part of the organizational changes, IHCL has announced two senior leadership appointments with immediate effect.

Gaurav Pokhariyal has been appointed Chief Operating Officer – Traditional Businesses, where he will oversee operations across all geographies.

Prabhat Verma has been appointed Chief People Officer, taking responsibility for human resources, sustainability and business excellence.
Supporting Long-Term Growth
Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, said:
“IHCL has expanded to 14 brands across multiple hospitality segments, with a portfolio of 645 hotels in 300 locations across 15 countries. As we continue to grow, the new organizational structure will help us manage scale, strengthen our brands and create long-term value for all stakeholders.”
He added that the redesigned structure has been developed to support both established and emerging businesses while improving execution, collaboration and organisational agility.
Building for Accelerate 2030
The new leadership structure is designed to enhance the hotel group’s capacity to support future growth and align operations with its Accelerate 2030 strategy. As the portfolio expands and brand presence broadens, the group intends to grow its hospitality business further while maintaining a strong focus on operational efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
