The Leela Unveils Literary Mixology Vol. II
Library Bar Introduces Literary Mixology Volume II in New Delhi
The Library Bar at The Leela Palace New Delhi has launched Literary Mixology, Volume II, the latest edition of its cocktail programme inspired by literature, storytelling and creative mixology.
Building on the first edition, the new collection presents cocktails influenced by well-known literary works and their authors, combining carefully selected ingredients, modern techniques and themed presentation to create an immersive dining experience.
Cocktails Inspired by Literature
The menu draws inspiration from books including Beloved by Toni Morrison, Cosmos by Carl Sagan, and Farewell, My Lovely by Raymond Chandler. Each cocktail has been designed to reflect the story’s mood and themes through its ingredients, flavours, and presentation.
The collection incorporates elements such as pandan, deep-frozen tomatoes, Parmesan cheese and house-made infusions, bringing together classic mixology with contemporary techniques.
Sustainability Meets Mixology
One of the signature creations replaces traditional ice with deep-frozen tomatoes, repurposed from surplus produce at Le Cirque. As the tomatoes gradually thaw, they subtly change the drink’s flavour profile while highlighting an approach that combines sustainability with cocktail craftsmanship.
The menu is presented as a bookmark placed inside leather-bound editions of the books that inspired each drink, allowing guests to discover the story behind every cocktail.
