The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort Opens in Cancún
St. Regis Resort Brings New Luxury Hospitality Experience to Costa Mujeres
St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort, Cancún, introducing a new beachfront destination on Mexico’s Caribbean coast.
Located in Costa Mujeres, just north of Cancún, the resort is surrounded by white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, protected mangroves and the region’s extensive coral reef system. Positioned near the historic El Meco archaeological site, the property draws inspiration from the cultural heritage of the Yucatán Peninsula and its connection to the sea.
Designed by architecture firm Sordo Madaleno, the resort combines contemporary architecture with elements influenced by local traditions, craftsmanship and natural surroundings. Throughout the property, design features reference Maya culture through stonework, artwork, materials and decorative details inspired by the region’s history and landscapes.
The resort offers 163 guestrooms and 50 suites, many featuring private balconies overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Accommodation options include signature suites designed for extended stays and residential-style comfort.
Guests will also have access to St. Regis Butler Service, a hallmark of the brand that provides personalised assistance throughout their stay.

Dining is a key part of the resort experience, with nine food-and-beverage venues offering a mix of local and international cuisine. Restaurants include Costa Coral, which focuses on Mexican culinary traditions; Fish Market, with Caribbean-inspired seafood dishes; Palmare Grill, serving coastal specialities; and Shami, a rooftop restaurant blending Japanese cooking techniques with ingredients from the Mexican Caribbean.
The resort has also introduced a range of cultural and recreational experiences that connect guests with the destination. Programmes include Afternoon Tea, Champagne Sabrage ceremonies, wellness activities, local craft workshops, live entertainment and family-friendly experiences.
At the centre of the wellness offering is The St. Regis Spa, which features a thermal circuit, hydrotherapy facilities, treatment suites and wellness programmes inspired by local traditions. Additional facilities include an oceanfront infinity pool, a fitness centre, a children’s club, and dedicated recreational spaces for families and groups.
For meetings, celebrations and events, the resort provides approximately 9,687 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including the Astor Ballroom and several venues designed for weddings, corporate functions and social gatherings.

Federico Greppi, President of Marriott International, Caribbean and Latin America, said the opening strengthens the brand’s presence in Mexico while supporting the continued growth of Costa Mujeres as a destination for international travellers.
With its combination of beachfront surroundings, cultural influences, wellness facilities and dining experiences, The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort, Cancún adds a new hospitality offering to Mexico’s Caribbean coast.
