Four Seasons Hotel Osaka Appoints Oscar Abril Bonthuis as Director of Food and Beverage
Four Seasons Hotel Osaka has appointed Oscar Abril Bonthuis as its new Director of Food and Beverage. In his new role, he will oversee the hotel’s dining venues and food and beverage operations, supporting the continued development of its culinary offerings.
Bonthuis brings a diverse international hospitality background, with experience spanning cruise lines, hotels and all-suite properties. He began his career at sea, working in operational and guest-facing positions while travelling to destinations including Hawaii, French Polynesia, New Zealand and Indonesia.

After transitioning to land-based hospitality in 2014, Bonthuis held food-and-beverage positions at hotels in Curaçao and Macau. He later joined Four Seasons Hotel Macao, where he progressed from Restaurant Manager to Director of Food and Beverage.
During his time in Macau, Bonthuis played a role in the pre-opening of The Grand Suites, an all-suite property, and contributed to the development of several dining concepts. These included a Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant and a ramen outlet. He also managed large food-and-beverage teams and participated in regional initiatives across the Four Seasons portfolio.
Born on the Spanish island of Tenerife, Bonthuis later moved to the Netherlands, where he earned a degree in hotel and event management. His career has focused on operational leadership, guest experience and food and beverage management.
At Four Seasons Hotel Osaka, Bonthuis will focus on enhancing the property’s dining concepts and shaping culinary experiences across its restaurants and outlets.
