Virtuoso Appoints Kara Glamore as General Manager for Australia & New Zealand

Virtuoso has appointed Kara Glamore as General Manager for Australia & New Zealand, following the retirement of Greg Treasure.
Glamore joins Virtuoso with senior leadership experience across the cruise and retail sectors, most recently serving as Vice President ANZ (Regional General Manager) at Carnival Cruise Line.
In her new role, she will hold strategic, financial, and operational responsibility for Virtuoso’s Australia and New Zealand region. She will work closely with the network’s member agencies, preferred partners, and global leadership to support growth, strengthen market presence, and enhance brand positioning among luxury travellers.
Australia and New Zealand represent a key market for Virtuoso, known for high-value outbound travel and strong demand for premium and experiential journeys. The region also serves as an important destination market for luxury travellers from North America, Europe, and Asia.
Glamore brings more than two decades of experience in sales and marketing leadership. Prior to Carnival Cruise Line, she served as Director of Marketing and PR, Asia Pacific, at Stayz (Expedia Group), where she led brand transition initiatives for Stayz and Book a Bach to the global Vrbo platform.

“Kara comes to Virtuoso with strong leadership qualities around brand positioning combined with commercial acumen, strategic brand expertise, a keen understanding of traveller preferences and deep credibility with the travel trade, making her an ideal choice to lead one of our most sophisticated luxury markets,” said Michael Londregan, SVP Global Markets for Virtuoso.
“Kara’s arrival comes as we say goodbye to Greg Treasure, who has been an outstanding presence within the region, helping further cement Virtuoso’s leadership position within Australia and New Zealand. We thank Greg for his commitment and leadership during his tenure.”

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Boston College and has completed further studies in business administration and strategic marketing at Loyola Marymount University and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She has also served on the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Advisory Board and is involved in mentorship and advisory roles.
Glamore will be based in Sydney and report to Virtuoso’s global leadership team.
