Turkish Airlines Appoints New Chairman and CEO
Turkish Airlines has announced changes to its executive management structure, with new appointments to both the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer position.

Prof. Murat Şeker has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer, overseeing financing, treasury operations, procurement, accounting, and investor relations.
Şeker brings experience across financial management and international institutions. Earlier in his career, he worked at the World Bank as an economist, contributing to projects on innovation, trade, and economic development. He also held senior roles at Ziraat Bank, focusing on financial institutions and investor relations.
Alongside his corporate responsibilities, Şeker has been involved in advisory and academic roles. He is a member of the Financial Advisory Council of the International Air Transport Association, where he contributes to policy discussions on financial services.

Ahmet Olmuştur has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer. He has held several commercial and operational roles within the airline over the years, most recently serving as Chief Commercial Officer.
Olmuştur began his career at Turkish Airlines in 2000 and progressed through roles in revenue management, pricing, and distribution. He later took on leadership responsibilities across sales and marketing, customer experience, and network planning.
In addition to his executive responsibilities, he has been associated with various industry and institutional bodies, including advisory roles within aviation and tourism-related organisations.
The leadership changes reflect an internal transition, with both appointments drawing on long-standing experience within the airline. The updated structure is expected to support coordination across commercial, financial and operational functions as the airline continues its ongoing plans.
