The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection Partners with Johanna Ortiz for Onboard Design Collaboration on Ilma

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection introduced a collaboration with Colombian fashion designer Johanna Ortiz aboard its yacht Ilma on 17 February, during the vessel’s Winter 2026 Caribbean season. The partnership will continue through Summer 2026 as the yacht sails in the Mediterranean.

The limited-time activation brings Ortiz’s custom prints and textile designs to select outdoor spaces on Decks 9 and 10, including the Pool Deck and Observation Terrace. The design concept draws on Caribbean landscapes and Ortiz’s Latin heritage, incorporating natural tones, botanical references and nautical elements throughout the spaces.

According to Gaby Aiguesvives, Chief Marketing Officer of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, the collaboration aligns with the brand’s approach to design-led travel experiences, where storytelling and aesthetics play a central role in shaping time at sea.

The takeover is built around Ortiz’s custom “Tropical Exuberance” print, inspired by Caribbean flora and combined with a sailing rope motif. From this base, two distinct environments have been created onboard.

On Deck 10, the Pool Deck features the “La Rumba” print in layered shades of blue, designed to complement daytime gatherings around the pool and bar. On Deck 9, the Observation Terrace presents the “La Siesta” print in green tones, offering a quieter setting intended for relaxation and evening conversation.

Ortiz said the concept reflects two different travel moods — celebration and pause — both influenced by nature and craftsmanship.

The collaboration extends beyond décor. Select cocktails and mocktails inspired by tropical fruits, herbs and coastal flavours are available in both areas. A curated selection of Johanna Ortiz ready-to-wear pieces is also offered in the onboard boutique.
