Radisson Hotel Group Opens Radisson Hotel Chateau de Bangkok
Radisson Hotel Group has announced the opening of Radisson Hotel Chateau de Bangkok, marking the return of a well-known hospitality address in the Thai capital. Located in the Ploen Chit district, the hotel has been repositioned under the Radisson brand following a comprehensive redesign that balances contemporary comforts with the property’s long-standing character.
For more than three decades, Chateau de Bangkok has been a familiar presence in Soi Ruamrudee. Its relaunch under Radisson introduces updated interiors and facilities designed to meet the needs of both business and leisure travellers, while retaining architectural elements and design cues associated with the original property.
The hotel features 178 guest rooms and suites, many offering city views. Select suites include kitchenettes to accommodate extended-stay guests. The property is also pet-friendly, broadening its appeal to travellers with accompanying animals.

Tim Cordon, Chief Operating Officer, Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia Pacific, Radisson Hotel Group, said Thailand remains an important market for the group and noted that the opening supports Radisson’s continued portfolio development in the region.

Radisson Hotel Chateau de Bangkok offers three dining venues. Larder & Lounge serves coffee and light meals, while Chateau Botanique focuses on Thai-French cuisine. The View Pool Bar, located on the 12th floor, provides drinks and light refreshments alongside city views.
Wellness amenities are also located on the 12th floor and include a fitness centre, spa treatment room and an outdoor swimming pool.

The hotel offers three meeting and event spaces suitable for a range of corporate and social functions. Crystal Lotus Hall can host up to 250 guests, while the Ploenchit meeting room and Ruamrudee boardroom are designed for smaller gatherings. All venues are equipped with audiovisual facilities and supported by an on-site events team.
Jean Pascal Bernet, General Manager of Radisson Hotel Chateau de Bangkok, said the team aims to build on the property’s existing reputation while delivering a refreshed guest experience aligned with Radisson standards.

The hotel is located around 40 minutes from Suvarnabhumi International Airport and 30 minutes from Don Mueang International Airport, depending on traffic conditions. The BTS Skytrain Ploenchit station is approximately 400 metres away, providing convenient access to business districts, shopping areas, dining venues and diplomatic offices.
To mark the opening, Radisson Rewards members can receive double points on eligible stays, along with benefits such as early check-in, late check-out, room upgrades (subject to availability) and a dining credit per stay, in line with the programme’s terms and conditions.
