Park Inn by Radisson Opens First Hotel in Australia with Melbourne Property

Radisson Hotel Group has introduced the Park Inn by Radisson brand to Australia with the opening of Park Inn by Radisson Melbourne Carlton. The property is located near Princes Park and is around four kilometres from Melbourne’s central business district. The hotel includes 89 rooms and is positioned to cater to both business and leisure travelers.

The property features an outdoor swimming pool and plans for a wellness hub that will include an infrared sauna, steam room, and cold plunge pool. According to the hotel group, the development incorporates several sustainability-focused features. These include the intention to source a significant portion of energy through solar power, the use of water-efficient fixtures, and drought-tolerant landscaping.

The location offers access to several nearby destinations, including the University of Melbourne, Melbourne’s biomedical precinct, and the Lygon Street dining area. Public transport via nearby tram lines provides connectivity to the broader city.

The hotel’s lobby café serves Piazza D’oro coffee and offers an all-day grab-and-go menu designed for guests seeking quick meal options. The property aims to provide a stay experience aligned with the Park Inn by Radisson brand’s focus on simplicity and functionality.

Radisson Hotel Group noted that this launch supports its broader expansion plans for the Park Inn by Radisson brand within the region, particularly in cities and leisure destinations that attract consistent domestic and international travel.

Further updates regarding the development of additional Park Inn properties in Australia or the region may follow as part of the group’s ongoing growth strategy.
