Hilton Opens York Medellin, Introducing Curio Collection by Hilton to the City
Hilton has announced the opening of York Medellin, Curio Collection by Hilton, marking the lifestyle brand’s entry into Medellín, Colombia’s second-largest city. The hotel becomes Hilton’s 27th property in Colombia and the third Curio Collection by Hilton in the country, following Cartagena and Bogota. Hilton’s lifestyle brands continue to expand in the Caribbean and Latin America, with a growing presence across the region.
Maxime Verstraete, Vice President of Brand Management, Caribbean and Latin America at Hilton, noted that Medellín’s culture and energy provide a fitting backdrop for the Curio Collection brand. He added that York Medellin aims to offer guests a locally influenced lifestyle experience through its design, art, dining, and elevated city views.
York Medellin features contemporary architecture and a façade designed to blend with the surrounding urban landscape in the El Poblado neighbourhood. Interior spaces include warm wood elements, natural light, and curated artwork. The hotel comprises 111 suites, each with a separate living area and kitchen. Select suites feature technology such as voice-controlled settings, smart home assistants, and 4K televisions. The property is also pet-friendly.
Guests have access to a rooftop space on the 23rd floor with panoramic views, an infinity pool, and wellness options at Henko Spa. A fitness centre on the 22nd floor provides additional recreational facilities.
Dining options include Nomade Restaurant, which offers dishes influenced by local and international flavours, with Peruvian elements. Ze View Rooftop Bar serves cocktails, wines, and spirits with expansive views of Medellín. Guests can also enjoy a breakfast buffet featuring fresh fruit, breads, regional specialities, and global selections.
York Medellin offers meeting and event spaces, including indoor rooms and open-air terraces, for gatherings of up to 100 guests. Coworking spaces and business services support corporate travellers.
The hotel incorporates sustainability practices focused on waste management and recycling initiatives that support community projects.
Located in El Poblado, York Medellin offers convenient access to local commerce, universities, shopping centres such as Oviedo and Santafé, and leisure destinations including Parque Lleras and Atanasio Girardot Stadium.
York Medellin, Curio Collection by Hilton participates in Hilton Honors, the guest loyalty program for Hilton’s portfolio of hotel brands. Curio Collection by Hilton is part of Hilton’s Collection brands, which also include Tapestry Collection by Hilton and Outset Collection by Hilton. These brands contribute to Hilton’s broader development strategy in the Caribbean and Latin America, where the company operates a growing number of hotels and maintains an active development pipeline.
