Hilton Expands South India Presence with New Chennai Egmore Signing

Hilton Hotels & Resorts opens 1st hotel in Chennai - Hotelier India

Hilton has announced the signing of the Hilton Chennai Egmore, which will further enhance its presence in Tamil Nadu and support its growth strategy in South India. The hotel is being developed in partnership with MKR Estate Developers Private Limited, a part of the MGM Healthcare Group, and is scheduled to open in January 2029. This will be the second Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in Chennai.

Situated in Egmore, a vital cultural and commercial center, the hotel will be part of a larger mixed-use development featuring a commercial office complex, which creates opportunities for both business and leisure demand.

Hilton Chennai Egmore to Open in 2029 Boosting Chennai Tourism with Luxury  Stays, Dining, and Event Venues - Travel And Tour World

Hilton Chennai Egmore will feature 195 guest rooms and suites, with each standard room averaging 390 square feet. The hotel will offer a variety of dining options, including an all-day dining restaurant, specialty venues, a lobby bar, and a rooftop lounge. Wellness and recreational facilities will include a spa, fitness center, and both indoor and outdoor pools. Additionally, a bowling alley and a children’s play area are planned to cater to the diverse needs of guests.

The venue will feature nearly 17,000 sq. ft. of event space, including two ballrooms, a meeting room, and a boardroom, designed to accommodate corporate events, conferences, and social gatherings.
