Air France, a longstanding partner of the Cannes Film Festival, will offer special flights in May 2025 connecting Los Angeles and Nice. This presents an opportunity for customers from the American West Coast to visit the French Riviera and its renowned international film festival, which coincides with the Monaco F1 Grand Prix.

This spring, head for the French Riviera with Air France

Flights from Los Angeles to Nice will be operated by Airbus A350, featuring the airline’s newest travel cabins. In Business Class, a sliding door provides passengers with a private space shielded from view by fellow travellers. Each seat transforms into a nearly 2-meter-long full-flat bed, ensuring maximum comfort. The Premium cabin offers the latest recliner-type seat with a spacious 48-cm seat pan that reclines to 121°. Economy seats incorporate ergonomic foam, provide a 119° recline, and offer 79 cm of legroom. All cabins include in-flight Wi-Fi and extensive High-Definition individual touch screens, allowing movie enthusiasts to enjoy films to their heart’s content.

The Airbus A350 is the crown jewel of Air France’s long-haul fleet. It features a 25% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to older aircraft, significantly lowering the airline’s environmental impact. Additionally, it boasts a 40% decrease in noise emissions.

Air France plans to operate four exclusive flights from New York-JFK to Nice from June 16 to 20, 2025, for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. These flights will be operated using a Boeing 777-300ER.

Flight Schedule (Local Time)

Air France will then offer 18 destinations in the United States and 25 in North America: Atlanta, Boston, Cancún, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami, Montreal, Minneapolis, New York-JFK, New York-Newark, Ottawa, Orlando, Phoenix, Québec City, Raleigh-Durham, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, Vancouver and Washington-DC.

Air France loves Cinema

For the 45th consecutive year, Air France partners with the Cannes Film Festival, which will host its 78th edition from May 13-24, 2025. The airline celebrates the world’s largest film festival and expresses its passion for cinema. Cinema has been woven into Air France’s identity since the inaugural screening of An American in Paris aboard a Constellation flying from New York to Paris in 1951, making it an essential part of the travel experience. Throughout all long-haul cabins, Air France features cinema year-round on its latest HD individual screens. The airline provides 1,500 hours of in-flight entertainment, showcasing an extensive array of French films and award-winning movies from past Cannes Film Festival editions. This well-curated selection caters to its passengers’ diverse tastes and cultures, with many films available in their original versions.
