Delta Introduces Limited-Time Summer Retail Event
Delta Air Lines has introduced Beyond the Summer, a limited-time retail initiative that offers SkyMiles Members expanded opportunities across travel and lifestyle categories. Starting July 22 for Medallion Members and Delta SkyMiles American Express Cardholders, and July 23 for all customers, the event includes special promotions on flights, vacation packages, car rentals, cruises, hotel stays, gift cards, and more.
The campaign commemorates Delta’s 100-year legacy by giving customers additional ways to earn miles and plan cost-effective travel into the fall.
New Partnership with SIXT Expands Car Rental Options
Delta has added SIXT to its Delta Cars & Stays platform, providing SkyMiles Members with more options for premium car rentals. Members can now earn 2 miles per eligible dollar spent on SIXT bookings made through the platform. Additionally, from July 21 through August 20, they can earn 3 miles per dollar as part of the event promotion.
With over 2,000 locations in more than 100 countries, including major U.S. airports and city centres, SIXT expands Delta’s reach in car rental services globally.
Additionally, hotel stays booked through Delta Cars & Stays will earn 3X miles, with a 15% discount available at participating hotels starting July 29.
Limited-Time Fare Deals to Global Destinations (July 22–24)
For two days from July 22 to July 24, Delta is offering discounted fares to a variety of destinations worldwide:
- U.S. Cities: Options include Austin, Savannah, Charleston, New Orleans, and Florida beach destinations.

- Latin America & Caribbean: São Paulo, Santiago, and Tulum—home to a newly launched airport—offer unique travel opportunities.

- Europe: Affordable fall travel to Paris, London, Brussels, Frankfurt, Prague, Copenhagen, and Iceland is included.

- Asia & South Pacific: Nonstop service is available to Taipei, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Sydney, and Brisbane.

These fare deals aim to provide cost-effective travel for both leisure and business travellers across key international markets.
Earn Medallion Qualification Dollars on Delta Cruises
SkyMiles Members can now earn Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) when booking Delta Cruises. Between July 22 and August 22, members will receive $1 MQD per $5 spent (excluding taxes and fees). This offer introduces a new way to progress toward Medallion Status while enjoying cruise experiences.
Delta Vacations: Up to $300 in Savings
SkyMiles Members booking Delta Vacations packages from July 22 through August 1 can save up to $300 on their trips. Travel is valid through the end of the year, with additional benefits including:
- MQD accrual on the full package price
- Up to 10,000 bonus miles for each flight + hotel booking
The offer is available for a range of travel types, including beach getaways, cultural escapes, and overseas adventures.
Additional Offers: Gift Cards & Online Shopping Bonuses
- Delta Gift Cards: Members purchasing $300 or more will earn 3 miles per $1 spent.
- SkyMiles Shopping Platform: From July 21 to August 11, members can earn bonus miles based on total spend:
- $100–$399: 300 bonus miles
- $400–$799: 1,200 bonus miles
- $800 or more: 2,000 bonus miles
These bonuses stack on top of miles already earned from purchases at over 1,000 participating retailers.
