Anantara Chiang Mai Resort Showcases Music and Art This Season
Anantara Chiang Mai Resort, situated along the Mae Ping River, features a historic teak mansion and courtyards. This September and October, it will host a series of cultural and artistic events.
On September 6 and 13, students and scholars from Prem International School will perform at The Verandah, located in 1921 House. Featured artists include cellist Meiyu Gong and pianist Puri Puengpipattrakul, who will present a diverse repertoire. Guests can enjoy the performances while savouring the resort’s afternoon tea, which is available daily from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
This season’s afternoon tea, titled “Whispers of the East: The Artist Edition,” is created in collaboration with Chef Pongsakorn Jiarasat of Jia Tong Heng. It blends English and Sino-Thai flavours and features an interactive element where guests can paint their own edible canvas. This special experience will be available from September 6 to 30.
On October 2, Meiyu and Puri will perform with the Libere String Quartet from Mahidol University College of Music in the classical concert titled “Light & Shade.” The program will feature works by Bach, Mozart, Shostakovich, and Haydn, accompanied by cocktails and canapés.
In addition, French-Vietnamese artist Hom Nguyen will present his exhibition “MĀEYE: The Eye That Sees with Love” at the 1921 House from 6 to 30 September, exploring themes of family and connection.
Arnaud Béril, Cluster General Manager of Anantara Chiang Mai Resort and Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp and Resort, noted that the resort is pleased to collaborate with local institutions and international artists to bring meaningful cultural experiences to guests.
