Accor Appoints Gilles Cretallaz as Senior Vice President Operations for South-East Asia, Japan, Korea and Maldives

Accor has appointed Gilles Cretallaz as Senior Vice President Operations for South-East Asia, Japan, Korea and the Maldives, overseeing Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems. He will be based in Bangkok.

In his new role, Gilles Cretallaz will oversee hotel operations, owner relations, brand standards, talent development and strategic growth initiatives across the region. His appointment comes as Accor continues to strengthen its luxury portfolio and expand its presence across key Asian markets.

Gilles brings over three decades of experience in luxury hospitality, with expertise spanning operations, hotel development, repositioning and performance management. Prior to rejoining Accor, he served as Chief Operating Officer of a hospitality company in Thailand, where he managed a portfolio of hotels and resorts.

Earlier in his career, he spent more than 30 years with Accor in senior leadership roles across Asia Pacific, managing several luxury properties and contributing to the growth of the Group’s premium brands in the region.

In his current role, Gilles will support ongoing renovation and development projects, as well as new hotel openings across destinations in South-East Asia, Japan, Korea and the Maldives.
