Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia Opens Under Curio Collection by Hilton
Elika Cave Suites Brings Cave Hospitality Experience to Cappadocia
Hilton has announced the opening of Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia, Curio Collection by Hilton, marking the introduction of the company’s first cave hotel in Türkiye. Located in Ortahisar, the property combines centuries-old cave dwellings with modern hospitality facilities, offering guests a stay rooted in Cappadocia’s cultural and geological heritage.
Situated within the UNESCO-listed landscape of Cappadocia, the hotel is positioned near Ortahisar Castle, one of the region’s most recognisable landmarks. Known for its rock formations, cave settlements and long history of human habitation, Cappadocia continues to attract visitors seeking cultural, historical and nature-based experiences.
The hotel has been developed by restoring historic cave structures, preserving many of the original architectural elements while introducing contemporary comforts. Designed to reflect the character of the region, the property features stone-built spaces, open-air walkways, and a layout inspired by the surrounding village.
Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia offers 36 individually designed guestrooms and suites, each shaped by the original cave formations. Accommodation options include cave suites with private pools, traditional Turkish hammams, fireplaces and hot tubs. Selected suites feature terrace hot tubs, while the villa includes a glass-fronted infinity pool overlooking the surrounding landscape.
Dining at the hotel is centred around Colastre, where the culinary programme draws inspiration from Cappadocian and Anatolian traditions. The restaurant focuses on seasonal ingredients, regional produce and recipes influenced by local food culture, while presenting dishes through contemporary techniques.
For relaxation and wellness, guests have access to an outdoor swimming pool and a spa featuring treatment rooms, a hammam, a steam room, a sauna, and a rain shower. The wellness facilities have been designed to reflect the natural environment of Cappadocia, incorporating stone textures and tranquil surroundings into the guest experience.
The property also includes meeting and event facilities, providing space for private gatherings, corporate meetings and special occasions within a cave-inspired setting.

David Kelly, Senior Vice President, Continental Europe, Hilton, said the opening reflects the company’s continued expansion in Türkiye and growing focus on lifestyle hospitality. He noted that the hotel offers a destination-focused experience shaped by local architecture, culture and heritage.
Ortahisar, where the hotel is located, is recognized as a Cittaslow town and is often regarded as one of Cappadocia’s more traditional communities. Its stone houses, narrow streets and local artisan culture provide visitors with an opportunity to experience everyday life in the region.
As part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia joins a portfolio of hotels that highlight local character and distinctive settings. The opening further expands Hilton’s presence in Türkiye and adds a new accommodation option for travellers exploring Cappadocia.
