New Sales & Marketing Director Joins Sofitel Mumbai BKC

Bjorn Fernandes has been named the new Director of Sales & Marketing at Sofitel Mumbai BKC. Bjorn has a distinguished career spanning more than 17 years in the hospitality industry. His knowledge and enthusiasm will enhance the Sofitel experience even more. Bjorn led the sales, marketing, and public relations initiatives for Taj Fort Aguada and Taj Holiday Village while serving as Director of Sales & Marketing at Taj North Goa before joining Sofitel Mumbai.

Bjorn’s extensive experience is enhanced by his leadership at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake and Marriott Executive Apartments, where he oversaw Marriott South Asia’s largest inventory and significantly increased B2B business, MICE, long-stay solutions, and creative digital marketing tactics.

Bjorn’s education, including a Bachelor of Management Studies from MMK College and an MBA in Marketing from MET Bandra, perfectly matches Sofitel’s mission to offer a blend of French elegance and local culture. In addition to his professional achievements, Bjorn loves to travel, is a devoted husband and father, and follows basketball and Formula 1 racing.
