Planet Hotels & Resorts Expands India Portfolio Across Key Markets
Focus on Lifestyle Hospitality and New Developments in Urban and Leisure Destinations
Planet Hotels & Resorts is expanding its presence across India with a development pipeline focused on lifestyle hospitality and urban growth markets.
The company’s hospitality division is led by Anand Chatterjee, who has overseen its development over the past decade. Since its early ventures in 2013, including the launch of Planet Hollywood Beach Resort in Goa, the group has grown its footprint across multiple destinations.
Expansion Across Urban and Leisure Locations
The company’s portfolio includes properties in Thane, Powai, and Manali.
Its urban presence features developments such as Planet Hollywood Thane City and The Beatle Hotel in Powai, while its leisure portfolio includes a property in Manali under The Beatle brand, introduced in 2025.
In early 2026, the group also announced Kings Mansion in North Goa, a property designed for travellers seeking private, design-focused stays.
Pipeline of Upcoming Projects
Looking ahead, the company has outlined plans for additional developments in New Delhi, Tirupati, Udaipur and Hyderabad, along with other markets under evaluation.
These projects reflect the company’s focus on expanding across a mix of leisure, spiritual and urban destinations.
Strategy and Market Approach

Anand Chatterjee said the company’s expansion strategy is centred on identifying emerging destinations and aligning offerings with changing traveller preferences.
He added that the Planet Hotels group aims to develop hospitality experiences centred on design, service, and guest engagement across its portfolio as it continues to expand in India.
