APPOINTMENT
Hardeep Singh has been appointed chef de cuisine at the Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel and Convention Center. Singh joins his new position with much experience, having worked for prestigious businesses in Dubai and India for over ten years.
Singh began his career in cooking in 2013 as a commis chef at Jaypee Hotels in Agra. Over time, he progressed through many culinary roles and gained a wide range of experience. Early on, Crowne Plaza recognised his talent when he placed first runner-up in the prestigious AAHAR Delhi food festival. He developed his abilities even more and contributed substantially to the success of well-known eateries like "K3" at the JW Marriott and the critically acclaimed "Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor" at the Canvas M Gallery by Accor, Dubai. Singh had a key role in transforming Hyatt Andaz's food hall, Annamaya, into the year's most award-winning food hall in his most recent position as sous chef.
Singh's dedication to maintaining the flavours and preparation methods of Indian food has not wavered over the course of his career. He creates inventive and delicious recipes by deftly fusing these traditional techniques with contemporary elements. As he constantly tinkers with novel ingredients and regional flavours, his enthusiasm for exploration has no bounds. Chef Hardeep's culinary path displays his genuine love for Indian food, particularly its regional flavours and traditional cooking. He strongly connects to his Punjabi ancestors and the undivided Punjab Northwest Frontier cuisine.
