APPOINTMENT
Moxy Mumbai, Andheri West, has appointed Rahul Karve as the Head Chef. Rahul Karve began his culinary journey at The Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai, where he gained invaluable industry experience.
After joining TAJ SATS Air Catering Ltd in Mumbai, Rahul thrived as a Chef De Partie, showcasing his skills in Japanese and Continental cuisines. He then moved on to the Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel, where he specialized in Japanese cuisine and oversaw the Indian and Asian sections. Rahul later served as the Sous Chef at Hyatt Pune, where he was responsible for menu development and banquet setups. His expertise continued to grow at Sahara Star Hotel in Mumbai, where he was involved in the pre-opening of the Modern Asian Restaurant E.A.S.T and implemented sustainable food concepts. Finally, at JW Marriott Sahar in Mumbai, Rahul managed JW Café, In-Room Dining, and the Executive Lounge, with a focus on food cost control and guest satisfaction.
Rahul has showcased his culinary skills in a variety of cuisines, including Japanese, Oriental, Western, Indonesian, and Awadhi, throughout his career. His commitment to culinary excellence has resulted in several accolades, such as being named the "Youngest Chef of the Year 2021" by the Food Critics and Bloggers Association of India, and the "Rising Star of the Year 2021" by the International Hospitality Council, London, and IIHM.
Rahul has actively participated in culinary competitions and masterclasses, sharing his knowledge and expertise with aspiring chefs. He has judged prestigious competitions and conducted demo lectures at renowned hotel management colleges.
