APPOINTMENT
Sougata Halder, an experienced chef with a proven track record in the hospitality industry, has been appointed executive chef at Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata. In his new role, Halder will be responsible for planning menus, standardizing recipes, and maintaining the highest food preparation and quality standards.
With a degree in hotel management and catering technology from IHM, Bangalore, Halder possesses extensive culinary creativity and expertise in creating recipes and managing the preparation of elaborate meals.
Halder has had a successful culinary career with experience across prominent hospitality brands. He shows exceptional leadership and culinary expertise. He started his career as a kitchen executive trainee at The Chancery Pavilion, Bengaluru, in April 2009 and then advanced to DCDP at Moevenpick Hotel and Spa, Bengaluru, in March 2011.
Additionally, Halder has held the executive chef position at Courtyard By Marriott Colva Goa, Fairfield by Marriott Goa, and Aloft Bengaluru Cessna Business Park. His diverse roles and responsibilities across various esteemed establishments showcase his versatility and unwavering commitment to culinary excellence.
