Shashank Bhardwaj has been appointed as the new Divisional Vice President—inflight Services and experience at Air India. He brings 28 years of experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in airline F&B services.

He will be an invaluable resource to the team because of his experience and track record in financial performance, guest happiness, and operational efficiency. Shashank began his professional career at the Tata Group with IHCL. He then moved on to Jet Airways, where he substantially contributed to establishing the F&B standards as the airline expanded from local to international operations. His most recent employment was with Qatar Airways, where he spent more than five years improving the in-flight food and service offerings. This work earned him numerous accolades for his professional accomplishments.

Air India

It runs a fleet of Airbus and Boeing planes that travel to 102 domestic and international locations. Its main office is in Gurugram. The airline serves multiple focus cities throughout India, and its primary hub is Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. Its secondary hubs are at Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai. After IndiGo, the airline is the second-largest passenger carrier in India as of July 2023. On July 11, 2014, Air India joined Star Alliance as its 27th member.
