PATWA Travel Awards at ITB
The board, awards council, and Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA) jury have announced the upcoming 25th edition of the coveted PATWA International Travel Awards, which will be held at ITB in Berlin. The event will honour the world's best destinations, hotels, airlines, cruise liners, and travel tech companies.
The Excellence in Governance awards will honour tourism ministers, parliamentarians, and mayors who promote sustainable travel by implementing effective policies, guidelines, and incentives in their respective countries and regions. PATWA is the pioneering organization that presents awards focused explicitly on governance excellence at regional, national, and international levels.
Additionally, the Excellence in Leadership awards will celebrate individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the travel, tourism, hospitality, aviation, transportation, and related sectors.
Since 1999, the PATWA International Travel Award winners have been felicitated at an annual ceremony during ITB in Berlin. Awardees are recognised for having achieved their field's highest standards of excellence. The PATWA International Travel Awards are among the most coveted awards in the travel industry.

Speaking on the announcement, Secretary General of PATWA, Yatan Ahluwalia said “For our milestone 25th edition we already have confirmations from many destinations and their tourism ministers, secretaries of tourism, heads of tourism committees, the leadership of hotels, airlines, allied service providers and global tourism organisations”. The summit will have a focus on AI and Sustainable Tourism.
