In a statement, the High Commission of India in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has announced that Malaysian nationals will be granted a 30-day e-tourist visa with double entry to India.
Gratis e-Tourist Visa
The High Commission of India in Malaysia released a statement announcing that Malaysian nationals will be granted a 30-day e-tourist visa with double entry on a gratis basis (no visa fees) from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. The 30-day e-tourist visa can be applied for online at the regular visa link.
However, the High Commission also mentioned that only e-tourist visa has no visa fee, and all other e-visa categories like e-business, e-conference, e-medical, e-medical attendant, e-ayush, e-emergency X miscellaneous applicants will be required to pay visa fees as prescribed. Those who will to obtain normal paper visas from the outsourced service provider or the High Commission of India will have to pay for the prescribed visa fees.
Malaysia had already granted free visa entry to Indians back in 2023. India has also announced the same scheme for Thailand nationals.
