Pune-Ayodhya Cantt Train Services Extended

To accommodate the large number of passengers who wish to visit the holy land, Indian Railways have announced an extension of trips for the 01455/01456 Pune-Ayodhya Cantt train.

The extension of the train schedule is applicable till 2 June 2024

The train, running between the two destinations, was earlier seen on a limited schedule, but the Railways witnessed a significant demand for increasing its frequency, which, in turn, affected their decision. According to the new changes announced, the 01455 Pune-Ayodhya Cantt train will now kick off at 19:30 on a bi-weekly schedule; it will be seen in motion every Friday and Tuesday from 10-31 May 2024. For the return journey, the 01456 Ayodhya Cantt-Pune train will also run bi-weekly from 12 May to 2 June, but at 03:55 every Sunday and Thursday.

The train will see 16 stops between the starting point and the arrival point – Chinchwad, Lonavala, Panvel, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Khandwa, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina Jn., Virangana Laxmibai Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur, and Lucknow. The train consists of General, Sleeper, and AC Coaches, and the tickets for the same can be booked either at the counters or from IRCTC’s website.
