IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced that 14 luxury and lifestyle properties in Europe and Asia have been awarded the MICHELIN Key. The MICHELIN Key is the hotel equivalent of the MICHELIN Star, awarded to restaurants. It recognises hotels for providing exceptional stays that meet the highest standards of hospitality. This includes three hotels that have received the elevated distinction of “2 MICHELIN Keys” :

Six Senses Samui

Six Senses Yao Noi

InterContinental Phuket Resort

The MICHELIN Guide has launched the MICHELIN Keys hotel awards program, which recognizes hotels that offer more than just a place to stay for the night. The selected hotels, chosen from over 5,000 properties in the MICHELIN Guide, are evaluated based on five criteria: excellence in architecture and design, service quality, overall personality and character, value for the price, and meaningful contributions to the local community. Out of the 14 IHG properties that received awards, eleven earned 1 Key, while 3 received 2 Keys. This accomplishment further solidifies IHG Hotels & Resorts’ position as a leader in luxury hospitality.
