IHCL to Open Taj Hotel in Visakhapatnam

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new hotel in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This greenfield project will be branded as a Taj hotel, marking the brand’s entry into the coastal city.

Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, said, “Visakhapatnam is one of India’s rapidly developing coastal cities with a growing mix of commerce, culture, and industry, making it an important location for hospitality. We are pleased to introduce the Taj brand to the city and continue our partnership with Varun Hospitality Private Limited for this project.”

Taj Varun Beach, located within the Varun Bay Sands complex in Visakhapatnam, will feature 310 rooms and suites offering views of the Bay of Bengal. The hotel will offer an all-day dining restaurant, speciality restaurants, a bar, gym, swimming pool, and Taj’s signature J Wellness Circle spa. It will also include banqueting spaces and meeting facilities designed for both leisure and business travellers.

Varun Bay Sands is a mixed-use development that includes Varun Hub (commercial office space) and Varun Nest (service apartments).
