This 16th-century palace in Florence's historic centre has reopened following major restorations in recent years.

Florence's Hidden Treasure

The most recent addition to the Tivoli portfolio in Italy is the Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi Firenze Hotel. After extensive renovations over the past few years, this 16th-century mansion in Florence's historic centre is again open.

Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi, which was once composed of two historic buildings that belonged to the Gaddis and the Arrighettis, two aristocratic Florentine families, is a living testament to a noble past with its historical and artistic treasures, including frescoed rooms, paintings by artists, and art objects, many of which date back to the 16th century. With its typical Florentine architecture, the building was recently renovated by internationally acclaimed interior designers Guy Oliver and Patrizia Quarters, while local artisans and specialized restorers worked tirelessly to preserve the building's noble spirit and character from its Renaissance past.

Terrae is a fine-dining restaurant that offers a deep gastronomic journey into Tuscan and Italian cuisine, focusing on fresh, local, and seasonal products. It is led by the renowned Italian Michelin-starred executive Chef Iside de Cesare, who works alongside Resident Chef Salvatore Canargiu. The restaurant's real gem is The Secret Garden, a winter garden that transforms every meal into a genuine Italian experience.

For those seeking the most incredible views of the city and the Duomo, as well as sunsets that will never be forgotten, the Aria Rooftop Bar is the ideal location. Chef Iside de Cesare created the menu, which features delectable nibbles like the classic Bolla, light drinks influenced by Florentine gardens, and pre-dinner aperitifs. Every time, a fresh flavour is unveiled to please the senses and the taste buds.

The Milton Bar is located in the inviting lobby and is named for one of the most illustrious visitors to Palazzo Gaddi, the poet John Milton, who visited the hotel in 1638 and used the setting as inspiration to compose his masterpiece, Lost Paradise. The bar encourages patrons to enjoy various drinks, comfort food throughout the day, and a selection of Italy's finest cheeses and wines as dinnertime approaches. The bar has a beautiful fireplace and library.
