Radisson Opens Another Park Inn Hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia

Radisson Hotel Group strengthens its footprint in Saudi Arabia with another hotel opening in Makkah. The Park Inn. The hotel comes with 161 rooms.

Radisson Hotel Group has announced the opening of Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Thakher Algharbi. The opening also follows the recent launch of Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Thakher Alsharqi, and cements the Group’s presence in the Holy City.

The Hotel

Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Thakher Algharbi offers 161 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant and a lobby café serving a variety of international and local cuisines. The hotel also provides a complimentary 24-hour shuttle bus service to the Grand Mosque of Makkah. 

Guests staying in the hotel can explore the heritage at The Kiswa Factory of the Holy Ka'aba, where the intricate cloth covering the Ka'aba is crafted. The Hira Cultural District is also nearby and provides a deep dive into Islamic history and culture, while Makkah Mall offers a modern shopping experience with a wide range of retail and dining options. For those seeking spiritual enrichment, the historic Cave of Thawr, known for its significance during the Prophet Muhammad's migration, is also within close proximity.

The hotel is located in the heart of Thakher City, only 2,1 km from The Grand Mosque, and is part of a comprehensive urban development led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which covers 320,000 square meters. With a total investment of $7 billion (26 billion SAR), it aims to create a seamless ecosystem of residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces. The development is expected to accommodate over 1.6 million visitors and pilgrims upon completion, supporting Saudi Vision 2030’s goal of hosting 30 million Umrah pilgrims annually.
