Radisson Signs Three-Hotel Deal in East India

Radisson Hotel Group is expanding its footprint in East India with the addition of three new hotels in Deoghar, Puri, and Ranchi. This agreement is an essential part of the group’s broader growth plan in India, contributing 400 rooms across these sites.

The three hotels — Radisson Blu Hotel in Deoghar, Radisson RED Puri, and Radisson Resort & Spa in Ranchi — are designed to capitalize on distinct regional opportunities. The group noted that these establishments aim to meet local demands while offering experiences that adhere to international hospitality standards. In Deoghar, Jharkhand, the Radisson Blu Hotel will be the city’s first upper-upscale property affiliated with an international brand. Known for its spiritual and medical tourism, Deoghar is becoming a favoured locale for large weddings and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) events. The hotel will be conveniently located near Deoghar Airport and AIIMS, providing breathtaking views of the Tapovan and Trikuta Hills. It will serve pilgrims, wellness seekers, and event planners.

In Odisha, Puri will host the group’s inaugural core-branded hotel in the state, featuring the Radisson RED brand. Situated along New Marine Drive Road, close to Puri Beach, this hotel will showcase RED’s signature design along with specially curated food, beverage, and wellness options. It aims to serve both modern leisure travellers and spiritual tourists. The hotel is anticipated to draw considerable visitors during major events, such as the annual Ratha Yatra at the Shree Jagannath Temple. Its location near Bhubaneswar also positions it as a potential site for destination weddings.

The Ranchi property is set to be developed along the Ranchi–Jamshedpur highway and will be known as Radisson Resort & Spa. Nestled in lush greenery, the resort aims to be a premier destination for MICE events, weddings, and leisure travel. As an administrative and economic center, Ranchi will host this hotel, which will mark the group’s fifth property in Jharkhand and its second in the state capital.

The Deoghar property will feature food and beverage concepts tailored to the region, alongside substantial meeting and event spaces aimed at weddings and corporate gatherings. As the area’s first international upper-upscale brand, it is anticipated to enhance Radisson’s brand equity and visibility locally.

Radisson RED Puri will offer 105 rooms, blending lifestyle-oriented design with practical spaces. The hotel consists of two parts: a beachfront section featuring low-rise rooms, a pool, and one dining outlet, and a block-structured area with more rooms, a rooftop bar with ocean views, meeting spaces, and wellness amenities. The group asserts this will be Puri’s inaugural upscale lifestyle hotel, presenting a concept that differs from current and forthcoming branded developments.

The Ranchi resort will encompass eight acres and offer 175 rooms, in addition to comprehensive meeting and banquet facilities. The company stated that this will meet the increasing demand for upscale resort-style accommodations in the region, particularly for weddings and social MICE events.
