Vignette Collection Makes Debut in France

IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened its first Vignette Collection hotel in France. Working with Global Hotels & Resorts, the new property includes two buildings: the Tiara Miramar and Tiara Yaktsa hotels. Both will keep their charm and history while becoming part of the Vignette Collection.

Once it opens in 2026, the hotel will join Vignette Collection’s rapidly expanding family of distinctive independent hotels. It is also part of IHG’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio.

Against the Massif de l'Esterel, France's first Vignette Collection will offer Riviera views in Théoule sur Mer. Guests will discover nearby activities, from walking trails to water sports and a dedicated space for meetings and events. Future visitors can look forward to the atmosphere and appeal of the properties and unique features like the red rock beaches and Michelin-starred dining, designed for experiences. Additional amenities include multiple swimming pools, a gym, a spa, and a bar.

The hotel highlights the rapid growth of IHG’s latest luxury and lifestyle brand. In only three years, this brand has already surpassed the halfway mark toward its bold goal of adding 100 hotels within a decade. This property contributes to a current European footprint of 10 operational hotels—such as Verno House Budapest and The Halyard Liverpool, both part of the Vignette Collection and opened last year—alongside a global portfolio featuring more than 50 planned and signed properties.

The first Vignette Collection has arrived in France, marking the introduction of IHG’s sixth luxury and lifestyle brand. Five of the six brands are currently in the region, boasting 12 properties in total. These include notable establishments such as the Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel; Kimpton St Honoré Paris; InterContinental Lyon—Hotel Dieu; Hotel Indigo Paris—Opera; and Six Senses Courchevel.

Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “The signing of the first Vignette Collection in France aligns perfectly with our luxury and lifestyle growth plans across Europe, as we focus on accelerating the expansion of new brands across priority markets, including France, whilst establishing one-of-a-kind properties in sought-after urban and resort locations.”

“I’m excited to be working alongside our long-standing partners at GHR to bring the first Vignette Collection to this market, and to strengthen our luxury and lifestyle offering along the Côte d'Azur. Together with GHR, we have seen great success with our existing properties – InterContinental Lisbon and Crowne Plaza Porto – and are now delighted to bring forward a unique hotel in a prestigious and internationally recognised location. With IHG’s trusted reputation and leading loyalty offer, we are confident that the hotel will cater to the growing demand for authentic, curated hospitality experiences.”

As a collection brand, Vignette Collection attracts owners of luxury and lifestyle hotels who seek to leverage IHG’s technology, revenue systems, operational expertise, and loyalty programs without incurring high initial costs or sacrificing their properties' character, style, or identity. For luxury and lifestyle travellers, it fulfils an increasing demand for accommodations supported by the credibility of IHG’s reputation and loyalty programs.
