"We are ecstatic to open Hilton's flagship hotel in Japan's cultural centre, Kyoto. Hilton Kyoto is well-positioned to meet business and leisure needs in the Kyoto area because of its strategic location and distinctive Hilton hospitality. Along with our four other hotels in the city, the hotel is well-positioned to satisfy the wide range of visitor needs," stated Joseph Khairallah, Hilton's area vice president and head of Japan, Korea, and Micronesia.

"We are excited to offer both domestic and foreign visitors to Kyoto our renowned hospitality and considerate service."

Located in the Kawaramachi Sanjo district, the Hilton Kyoto is roughly a fifteen-minute drive from Kyoto Station or a two-minute walk from Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station on the Tozai Line of the Kyoto Municipal Subway. The hotel provides easy access to popular tourist destinations, including the Heian Jingu Shrine and the well-known Kiyomizu Temple, renowned for its unique architecture. Additionally, Gion and Pontocho, two entertainment hotspots renowned for their historic streetscapes, are easily accessible on foot from Hilton Kyoto.

Hilton Kyoto's design is to create a "Kyoto synapse" that effortlessly connects visitors to the city's distinctive fusion of modernity, tradition, history, and innovation. The hotel's elaborate lattice designs, inspired by orimono, Kyoto's famous textiles, welcome visitors to the magnificent five-story atrium lobby.

The Hilton Kyoto provides a range of dining options, including a speciality restaurant, an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby lounge bar and café, and a seasonal rooftop bar with views of Kyoto. Téori, a 120-seat all-day eating establishment, offers an open kitchen and a buffet of global specialities made with regional ingredients. 7 EMBERS specialises in delectable, grilled food and honours the natural world and the element of fire. Along with various locally sourced veggies, guests may savour Mediterranean-inspired dishes, including grilled Omi beef, smoked Kyoto duck, and pizza with fish. Piña coladas, the tropical beverage Hilton made famous in 1954, are among the speciality drinks served at Cloud Nest, a rooftop bar with a view of the Kamo River and the ancient Higashiyama district. The first-floor lobby's LATTICE LOUNGE provides light snacks, café cuisine, and the hotel's afternoon tea for a more laid-back experience. In the evening, it transforms into a bar.

The hotel's 220-square-meter ballroom, Raden, has a display kitchen with live cooking demonstrations to amuse visitors, making Hilton Kyoto an excellent venue for gatherings. Yuzen, a 100-square-meter meeting space, can be split into two sections, making it ideal for training sessions and informal gatherings. A 24-hour fitness facility, an indoor pool, and an executive lounge modelled after a typical Kyoto machiya townhouse with a tsuboniwa garden—a tiny, walled courtyard intended to infuse intimate rooms with peace and nature—are just a few of the amenities available to guests. The eforea SPA provides three treatment rooms for rest. In these rooms, visitors can embark on a spa adventure with therapeutic oils that will relieve the weariness of travel.

"We are excited to launch our Canopy by Hilton brand and provide genuinely customized, locally inspired stays in one of the most upscale travel destinations in the world as Osaka gets ready to welcome the world to the 2025 Expo," stated Alan Watts, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton.

"Canopy Osaka Umeda is poised to set new standards for hospitality once more and represents yet another exciting growth chapter for Hilton, this time within the vibrant, rapidly expanding lifestyle category."

Surrounded by UMEKITA PARK, lifestyle shops, and community areas that encourage idea production, creativity, and cooperation amongst institutions and organizations in the public and private sectors, the hotel is part of the vast GRAND GREEN OSAKA urban complex. The hotel is conveniently close to the main JR, Hankyu, and Osaka Metro lines, and Kansai International Airport is about an hour's train ride away. JR Osaka Station is about a seven-minute walk away. The hotel's excellent location makes it a great starting point for visiting nearby towns, including Kyoto, Kobe, and Nara. Free bicycle rentals are another Canopy hallmark allowing visitors to experience the surroundings and discover the distinctive districts fully.

The hotel has 308 rooms, 19 connected rooms, and 53 suites, including the spacious 127-square-meter Canopy Panorama View Suite. Fukusuke dolls, traditional Kansai charms dressed in red and white kimonos with polka-dot designs, are a joyful and welcome addition to any space, and they also help with calm wind-downs and bath salts. The property's modern design carefully incorporates symbols like Sennari Byotan, the horse insignia of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a well-known shogun who constructed Osaka Castle and a significant figure in Japanese history, and the Metasequoia tree, which symbolizes the lush greenery of UMEKITA PARK.

Takoyaki-shaped lighting and motifs—a nod to the city's soul food—are regional features that entice visitors to discover Osaka's rich history and lively energy. These octopus-based delicacies are typically consumed with toothpicks and are elegantly and appropriately referenced in hanging pipes and abstract paintings. Craftsmen handwrite the letters on lift buttons made by the Sakai-based Kantaro signboard company. The resort also has various pet-friendly rooms for those travelling with their cherished animal friends.

Canopy Osaka Umeda is a meeting spot for curious tourists, daring people, and international innovators and creators. The hotel offers sophisticated dining options and distinctive community areas influenced by the city's history and culture. Bean Cafe, UMEDA café, CC: CARBON COPY, an all-day Japanese fusion restaurant, and a bar and lounge are just a few of the food and drink options available to guests!JaJa!Bar, which offers unmatched city views.

The neon-lit booth seating at CC: CARBON COPY was purposefully built to mimic the busy arcade of Kuromon Market and its wide variety of food options, as evidenced by the curved ceiling. The menus here showcase inventive fusion food, from seared bonito carpaccio with Narazuke salsa sauce and Uji matcha panna cotta to okonomiyaki-style cabbage wedges and edamame hummus. Bean There, UMEDA offers a warm and inviting area on the first floor where visitors may enjoy sandwiches, pastries, and the hotel's original coffee roast made by nearby LiLo Coffee Roasters. It's the ideal location for a get-together with friends, a family brunch, or takeout for a park picnic.

With its outside terrace, JaJa!Bar creates a haven at Canopy by fusing the city's energy with a sense of community. Under pendant lights evoking the Tennoji station of the Mizuji Subway Line, visitors can celebrate street food or partake in communal dining and nostalgic games.

A 24-hour workout centre with city views allows visitors to continue their wellness practices while travelling. The hotel's adaptable meeting spaces—a 100-square-meter meeting room, a 65-square-meter boardroom, a 55-square-meter meeting studio, and a pre-function space —provide ideal settings for small conferences or private gatherings.
