Hilton Crowned Best Workplace in Vietnam

In a significant milestone reflecting its dedication to a transformative workplace culture, Hilton has secured the top ranking in the Best Workplaces In Vietnam 2025 list within the medium-sized company category. This achievement represents the first occasion the prominent hospitality firm has attained the leading position in the country, moving up from last year’s No. 2 ranking.

Recognized by the esteemed research and consulting firm Great Place to Work, this significant award enhances Hilton’s expanding roster of workplace honours in Southeast Asia, particularly after being named the leading hospitality employer in the Philippines. This accolade arrives at a vital moment as Vietnam’s hospitality industry grows remarkably, inspiring many to pursue careers in this field. Hilton’s success underscores its commitment to a people-first strategy, which consistently differentiates the company in attracting and retaining exceptional talent.

From Rural Village to Professional Kitchen: A Story of Transformation

The team at Hilton is vital to its success and flourishes thanks to the company’s dedication to wellness, growth, inclusion, and purpose. One notable member is Tran Duc Minh, a 20-year-old Commis Chef at Hilton Garden Inn Da Nang. His journey from childhood adversity to becoming a culinary professional illustrates the company’s commitment to providing transformative career opportunities and facilitating professional and economic advancement.

Following his father’s death when he was seven, Minh became the main caretaker for his younger siblings while his mother worked long hours at a rubber plantation. His life changed dramatically when he got involved in the hospitality sector through a partnership between Hilton Garden Inn Da Nang and STREETS International. This social enterprise supports at-risk youth in Vietnam, including orphans and trafficking victims, by offering residential training programs in hospitality and tourism.

During his traineeship at STREETS, Minh engaged in life skills classes conducted by the hotel’s leadership team. After finishing his program, he joined the hotel’s culinary team in January this year. With Chef De Partie Le Dinh Nguyen Anh, a former STREETS trainee, providing guidance, Minh’s remarkable work ethic shone through, enabling him to attain a full-time position as a Commis Chef within two months.

“Since joining Hilton, I have grown in so many ways,” said Minh.

“The support and trust from my mentors and leaders at Hilton Garden Inn Da Nang have been instrumental in building my confidence, from managing my station independently to interacting with guests. The journey with STREETS and Hilton has helped transform my life and created better opportunities not just for myself, but also for my family.”

Since its opening in 2023, Hilton Garden Inn Da Nang has collaborated with STREETS International to train over 80 local youth, establishing a sustainable source of hospitality talent and positively impacting individual lives. Additionally, STREETS International is a grantee of the Hilton Global Foundation for 2025; funding from this foundation will enable STREETS to offer nearly 100 young individuals the chance to engage in transformative training programs in the coming three years.
