Accor presents KarnavALL Batik Indonesia

Accor has presented KarnavALL Batik Indonesia, an exciting celebration of National Batik Day. In honour of this cherished Indonesian tradition, Accor’s hotels and resorts in more than 30 destinations nationwide will feature a series of Batik-inspired activities throughout October, offering guests a truly immersive experience.

These activities will include fashion shows, workshops, exhibitions featuring Batik products from local small and medium-sized enterprises, and culinary offerings infused with Batik themes. Various events will engage guests of all ages, from interactive activities for children to special discounts for those donning Batik attire.

The Mercure Bandung City Centre collaborates with the local small and medium-sized enterprise Tlatah Nusantara to feature a mini Batik showcase in the hotel’s lobby. There will also be a Batik talk and fashion show highlighting the work of seven Batik small and medium-sized enterprises from the wider Bandung area.

At Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali, national costume designer Inggi Kendran will lead a workshop and talk show to explore the artistry behind Indonesian Batik. Throughout October, guests wearing Batik will receive a ten percent discount on food and beverages at Mövenpick Café.

Mercure Samarinda and ibis Samarinda will collaborate uniquely with emerging Batik artists, designers, and influencers. The hotels will host a talk show, a workshop, a fashion show, and an exhibition spotlighting Batik small and medium-sized enterprises. Guests are invited to participate in an Instagram challenge, sharing photos of themselves in Batik for the chance to win special prizes.
