The Valorian Los Angeles Debuts as Curio Collection by Hilton Hotel on Sunset Strip
A new chapter is unfolding on the Sunset Strip as the former Mondrian Los Angeles has been reintroduced as The Valorian Los Angeles, Curio Collection by Hilton, marking a significant repositioning of the renowned property in West Hollywood.

The Valorian Los Angeles Introduces New Era with Rooftop Revival

Now part of Curio Collection by Hilton, the hotel blends its long-standing cultural legacy with a refreshed identity aimed at modern luxury travellers. The property will be operated by Pivot, a division of Davidson Hospitality Group, while leveraging the global reach and loyalty ecosystem of Hilton.

“The Valorian marks the next evolution of a hotel that has long helped define the Sunset Strip,” said Randy Diamond, Regional Vice President, Operations, Pivot. “We are preserving the edge, creativity and sense of occasion that made this property iconic, while elevating the guest experience through a refined new identity, Hilton’s global platform, and the introduction of White Rabbit Sky Lounge for the next era of West Hollywood.”
Originally opened in 1996 and redesigned in 2018, the hotel has long been recognised for its distinctive design and cultural relevance along Sunset Strip. The rebranding to The Valorian aims to preserve this identity while introducing a more refined and contemporary guest experience.

“The Valorian is a natural fit for Curio Collection by Hilton,” said Brooke Thomas, Brand Leader, Curio Collection by Hilton. “It captures the creative spirit and cultural energy that define West Hollywood, while delivering a one-of-a-kind experience that is deeply rooted in its location. That is exactly the kind of experience Curio Collection is built to offer across its growing global portfolio.”
The interiors continue to reflect a bold, artistic vision, with dramatic architectural elements, immersive lobby spaces, and layered textures that contribute to a visually striking environment. The property will also maintain its focus on cultural programming, including rotating art installations and creative activations inspired by the local community.

Guest rooms and suites retain their modern aesthetic, offering expansive views of the Hollywood Hills and the downtown Los Angeles skyline, catering to both leisure travellers and extended-stay guests.

A key highlight of the relaunch is the introduction of White Rabbit Sky Lounge, a reimagined rooftop venue replacing the former SkyBar. Positioned high above the city, the venue combines panoramic views with a design-forward setting and evolving day-to-night experiences, including seasonal programming and curated cocktail offerings.
Meanwhile, Casa Madera will continue to operate as the hotel’s signature dining destination, maintaining its established reputation for a vibrant atmosphere and contemporary cuisine.
As part of Hilton Honors, guests booking directly can access a range of benefits, including loyalty points and exclusive offers. To mark the relaunch, the hotel is offering promotional incentives for stays booked between April and October 2026.
The transformation of the property reflects a broader trend in lifestyle hospitality, where legacy hotels are being repositioned to meet evolving guest expectations while retaining their cultural and architectural significance.
