Crowne Plaza Jakarta PIK2 to Join Waterfront Development in 2027

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of Crowne Plaza Jakarta PIK2 within the PIK2 development, a 6,000-hectare integrated waterfront township in Tangerang, in the northern part of Jakarta, Indonesia.

The 220-key property, scheduled to open in 2027, will be the first hotel within the PIK2 area and will contribute to the growing Crowne Plaza portfolio of more than 550 open and pipeline properties worldwide.

Indonesia’s visitor economy is expanding, with the country targeting 16 million foreign arrivals and over one billion domestic trips by year-end. Between January and September 2025, Indonesia welcomed 11.43 million international visitors, a 10.22% year-over-year increase. The introduction of Crowne Plaza Jakarta PIK2 aligns with this growth and adds a premium accommodation option to the Greater Jakarta market. Located near the urban beach area and approximately seven minutes from Soekarno–Hatta International Airport, the hotel aims to serve both business and leisure travellers seeking convenience and connectivity.

Planned facilities include 220 rooms and suites, two restaurants, a bar, a health club, a spa, a swimming pool, and meeting spaces totalling more than 990 square metres. In line with the Crowne Plaza brand approach, the property will feature flexible event venues and social areas designed to support blended travel needs.

PIK2 The New Jakarta City

The wider PIK2 development will include commercial, residential, and lifestyle components, such as a four-kilometre white-sand beach, a 60-hectare greenbelt, and convention and exhibition facilities. The township is being developed with smart-city principles and modern infrastructure to support business, living, and leisure activities.

IHG currently operates 33 hotels in Indonesia across eight brands, with 12 additional properties in the pipeline. Crowne Plaza Jakarta PIK2 will expand the company’s presence in Jakarta, adding to existing InterContinental, Holiday Inn, and Holiday Inn Express hotels in the city.
