Hilton and Ayala Land Hospitality to Open Canopy by Hilton in Makati by 2026
Hilton and Ayala Land Hospitality have announced the signing of a management agreement for the upcoming Canopy by Hilton Makati, located in Metro Manila. The hotel is set to open in 2026 within the One Ayala development in Makati, a key business and cultural district home to financial institutions, multinational companies, and a diverse urban environment.
Canopy by Hilton offers stays that reflect the character of their surroundings. With over 40 hotels operating globally and additional properties in development, each location is designed to align with the local context. Canopy by Hilton Makati will follow this model, incorporating design and hospitality elements influenced by Manila’s creative and cultural atmosphere.

“This launch introduces our Canopy brand to the Philippines at a central location in Makati,” said Maria Ariizumi, Vice President, Development, South East Asia, Hilton.
“Metro Manila is positioned for a hospitality offering that aligns with evolving guest preferences. This project also marks the beginning of our collaboration with Ayala Land Hospitality.”
The 24-storey hotel will include approximately 400 rooms and suites. Accommodations will feature a mix of urban-inspired designs, with interiors using materials and artwork influenced by local culture.
The property will include dining and social venues, including a destination restaurant, a rooftop bar with city views, and a hidden speakeasy. These spaces are expected to host a variety of events such as DJ sets, social gatherings, and cultural programs.
Additional amenities will include a pool deck, a fitness center with group classes, and a range of meeting and event spaces designed with creative themes for both professional and personal functions.

“The Philippines offers a setting well-suited for Canopy’s hospitality concept,” said Alexandra Murray, Area Vice President and Regional Head, South East Asia, Hilton.
“Makati continues to appeal to travelers interested in urban, cultural, and lifestyle experiences.”
“We’re pleased to work with Hilton to bring the Canopy brand to Manila,” said George Aquino, President and CEO, Ayala Land Hospitality.
“This project aligns with our goal of contributing to the Philippines’ positioning as a travel destination by creating thoughtfully designed guest experiences.”
Canopy by Hilton Makati will be part of the Hilton Honors program, which allows members booking through official Hilton channels to access flexible payment options, discounts, standard Wi-Fi, and app-based features.
