Brigade Hotel Ventures and Marriott International Sign Agreement to Develop Six Hotels in Southern India

Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited has signed a multi-property agreement with Marriott International, Inc. to develop six hotels totaling 940 rooms across four cities in Southern India. The planned hotels will operate under five Marriott Bonvoy brands: The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott, and Fairfield by Marriott.

This agreement extends a nearly 15-year collaboration between the two companies. With this addition, Brigade’s Marriott-branded portfolio will grow to eight properties, comprising 1,388 rooms across various locations including Sheraton Grand Bangalore at Brigade Gateway and Four Points by Sheraton Kochi Infopark.

The agreement was signed by Nirupa Shankar, Managing Director of Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited, and Rajeev Menon, President – Asia Pacific (excluding China), Marriott International. The signing was witnessed by Jaishankar, Executive Chairman of Brigade Enterprises Limited, along with senior representatives from both companies.

Jaishankar, Executive Chairman, Brigade Enterprises Limited, stated:

Overview of Planned Properties

• Courtyard by Marriott Chennai World Trade Center (Opening FY 2027)
  Will include 45 guestrooms and two dining venues. Located near major commercial developments and 13 km from Chennai International Airport.

• Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru International Airport (Opening FY 2028)
  Set near the airport with 224 rooms, conference space, two restaurants, spa, pool, and fitness centre.

• Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Brigade Valencia (Opening FY 2028)
  Located in South Bengaluru’s tech corridor, the hotel will offer 151 rooms and standard amenities including dining, pool, spa, and fitness facilities.

• The Ritz-Carlton Vaikom Island, Kerala (Opening FY 2029)
  Planned as a 70-villa retreat with private pools, five dining venues, spa, and wellness facilities. Accessible by car or speedboat from Kochi.

• JW Marriott Chennai OMR (Opening FY 2030)
  Will feature 250 rooms, wellness amenities, five dining options, and meeting space. Located along Old Mahabalipuram Road, Chennai’s IT hub.

• Thiruvananthapuram Marriott Hotel World Trade Center (Opening FY 2030)
  Part of a mixed-use development, offering 200 rooms, five dining venues, meeting space, spa, and recreational amenities. Located 20 minutes from the city’s international airport.
