Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa Appoints Yiduo Wang as Executive Chef

Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa has appointed Yiduo Wang as Executive Chef. She will oversee the resort’s culinary operations and dining experiences.

Yiduo Wang brings international experience across brands within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio. She has previously worked with The Ritz-Carlton and EDITION Hotels.

Most recently, she served as Executive Sous Chef at Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah, where she was involved in the pre-opening of the resort, overseeing multiple dining concepts and managing a large culinary team.

Trained in classical pastry and bakery, Wang has developed a broad culinary skill set that combines pastry expertise with overall kitchen leadership. Her approach focuses on integrating local flavours and regional influences into her menus.

In her new role, she will lead all kitchen operations at the resort, with a focus on aligning the culinary offering with the surrounding desert environment.

Wang has also implemented sustainability initiatives in her previous roles, including efforts to reduce food waste and limit single-use plastics. At Al Maha, her role will include overseeing culinary strategy and operational standards across dining experiences.
