Team India's Journey
A special chartered flight by Air India from Barbados brought the victorious Indian cricket team back home after their T20 World Cup 2024 win. The call sign of the Air India plane was "AIC24WC", and the journey, as the video suggests, was full of joy and celebration. The men in blue, after winning the trophy, were stranded in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl, which has caused chaos in the Caribbean islands.
Due to the hurricane's destructive nature, the team was advised to stay in their hotels. They have been in the country since their victory on June 29, and were finally brought home on July 3 via a special chartered flight.
The team landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, on June 4 and celebrated their win. The team then made their way to ITC Maurya, and are now at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, the residence of PM Modi.
