Jumunjin Beach Bus Stop, South Korea
Located in Gangwon province of South Korea, this simple bus stop was where the photo cover of BTS's album 'You Never Walk Alone' was shot. The place offers a special bus stop photo zone (where you can recreate the album cover photo), has cute purple benches dedicated to each BTS member, an aesthetic purple swing, a beautiful beach just on its other side, and various boards and signs highlighting BTS's album and achievements. Fun fact: The bus stop, instead of its name, is now known as BTS Bus Stop worldwide.
Lake Tekapo, New Zealand
A small town as well as a lake of the same name, Lake Tekapo is a quiet and serene place that must be visited to reconnect with nature, just like BTS did in 2019. Said to be "the home to some of the world's darkest skies and purest stargazing opportunities", it offers attractions like the International Dark-Sky Reserve, Mount John University Observatory, Church of the Good Shepherd, Collie Sheepdog statue, Tekapo Hot Springs, footbridge of Lake Tekapo, Lake Tekapo Regional Park, skiing resorts, and star gazing tours. Fun fact: According to the recent census, it has a population of less than thousand people.
Bergen, Norway
Enjoy the beauty of Lille Lungegårdsvannet, Mt. Fløyen, Bryggen, Festplassen, and all that Bergen has to offer, especially because BTS has reeled in the city's beauty, too, in Bon Voyage Season 1. A perfect mix of European beauty with serene vibes, Bergen needs to be on every ARMY's travel list since this is where the iconic BV series kickstarted. Fun fact: BTS members lost (and later found) quite a lot of items during this trip to Bergen - passport, luggage, backpack, tickets, and even a member himself!
Gyeongbokgung Palace, South Korea
The main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty, built in 1395, is a great monument in Korean history, but did you know that it also holds significance in ARMY history? With BTS using it as a backdrop for quite a few performance videos (Dynamite, Idol, Mikrokosmos etc.), a trip to Gyeongbokgung Palace is a must to understand and respect the culture the boyband comes from. Fun fact: BTS is the first K-pop artist in history to perform at Gyeongbokgung Palace.
New York, USA
If you are planning a trip to New York, then visiting all the amazing nooks and crannies lingering with BTS history is a must for an ARMY. Grand Central Terminal (where BTS performed On), Bowery Station and Cortlandt Alley (where the music video of J-Hope's 'On The Street' was shot), Metropolitan Museum (which BTS visited with former South Korean first lady as ‘special presidential envoy for future generations and culture’), United Nations Headquarters (where BTS have been invited as speakers two times and even performed 'Permission to Dance' at United Nations General Assembly), and Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 3 (the location of their project 'Connect, BTS') are just some of the places in the long list. Fun fact: The BTS concert at Citi Field in New York City was sold out in 20 minutes and was also the first time a Korean act performed at a US stadium.
Valletta, Malta
Malta, an island country in Southern Europe, has a lot of attractions to offer to its tourists like Malta waterfront, St. John's Co-Cathedral, Lascaris War Rooms, Grandmaster’s Palace, canon fire show, Triton Fountain, scuba diving, Love Statue, Popeye Village, Mdina and so much more - all of which have been explored by BTS. So, follow their itinerary and enjoy the beauty the country has to offer. Fun fact: Bon Voyage Season 3 was shot in Malta.
Basel, Switzerland
From strolling through beautiful landscapes to visiting state-of-the-art museums, if there is one place in the world that is perfect for 'namjooning', it definitely is Switzerland. And the country is Namjoon-approved as well! RM sharing his tour diary of Switzerland has prompted various ARMYS, and even fellow BTS member J-Hope, to want to visit the country, so plan your trip ASAP so you can enjoy their various museums, art installations, hikes, and yummy food, just like RM did. Fun fact: Basel is home to 40 museums, making it the city with the highest density of museums in Switzerland!
