Bharat Gaurav Train to Steam Off on 18 May 2024

The Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train, which will cover varied tourist spots and destinations in the northern region of India, will kick off its journey on 18 May 2024.

According to Northeast Frontier Railway, the Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train will start its journey on 18 May 2024. The train will depart from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station in Siliguri, West Bengal, and will pass through various tourist spots of the northern region of the country.

The journey of the train is slated to span eight nights and nine days and will cover destinations like Vaishno Devi, Ayodhya, Vrindavan, Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Mathura. The train will first pass through Malda Town, Rampurhat, Dumka, Bhagalpur, Jamalpur, and Kiul to reach Patna Junction, from where it will make its way to Vaishno Devi, Haridwar, Mathura, and Ayodhya. From Ayodhya, the train will make its way back to Patna and the passengers will then be asked to deboard at their respective stops as the train makes its way back to West Bengal. The train offers AC-3 tier and Economy/Sleeper class coaches. The cost of a ticket in the AC class falls at 29,500 INR and for the Economy/Sleeper class, it is set at 17,900 INR.

Bharat Gaurav Tourist Trains, run by IRCTC, aim to showcase the diverse circuit of India, and to provide passengers with the best of comfort, off-board services at special destinations will also be provided. “Off-board travel and excursions by buses, stay at hotels, tour guides, meals, travel insurance etc., are provided along with comfortable train journey and allied onboard services,” states IRCTC on their website.
