Gujarat: Our Favourite Summer Destination According to a report by DeshGujarat, Gujarat welcomed more than 1.35 crore tourists between April 1 and June 10, 2024. The tourist numbers were recorded at the main 12 tourist attractions and pilgrimage sites in Gujarat. The current number indicates an increase of 17% from the figures of last year, which stood at 1.14 crore. Gujarat welcomed more than 1.35 crore tourists between April 1-June 10 The popular destinations in Gujarat which witnessed the high influx of tourists were Statue of Unity, Atal Bridge, Riverfront-Flower Park, Kankaria Lake, Somnath Temple, Ambaji Temple, Pavagadh Temple, Science City, Dwarika Temple, Ahmedabad, Vadnagar, Gir and Devalia Safari. Atal Bridge, Statue of Unity, Somnath Temple etc., recorded the highest footfall Ahmedabad emerged as the top tourist destination in Gujarat for the period. The city was also the number one district on the destination list for 2023-24, welcoming around 426.96 lakh tourists, and Ahmedabad City witnessed around 225.8 lakh tourists. Ahmedabad was the top tourist spot Around ₹2077 crore was allocated to developing tourist destinations in Gujarat for the year 2024-25 in order to attract more tourists to the area.
