Radisson Collection’s Latest Jewel in Lyon

Radisson Hotel Group has launched the Radisson Collection in France by opening the Cour des Loges Lyon, a Radisson Collection Hotel. This hotel is located in the historic centre of Lyon at a famous address. It sits in Vieux Lyon, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its charming cobblestone streets, medieval buildings, and hidden passageways. The hotel offers guests an experience where history, good food, and curated activities come together. This opening marks an important step in Radisson Hotel Group’s growth in Europe’s most culturally rich areas.

Cour des Loges Lyon, A Radisson Collection Hotel, has a history that goes back to the 14th century. It is an important part of the Vieux Lyon district’s culture and architecture. The building was once home to Italian merchants, a Jesuit college, and later a private residence. In 1987, it became a boutique hotel and joined the Radisson Hotel Group in 2022. Now, reimagined as a Radisson Collection hotel, it has reopened as a connection between the past and present. Located within a Renaissance-style setting of six courtyards, the hotel captures the spirit of Lyon: rich in history, elegant, and always changing.

Cécile Rémond, an architect from a well-known heritage architecture firm, has led the renovation of the property. This extensive restoration has renewed the building while honouring its history. The project keeps important structures intact and reintegrates historical objects. One standout feature is the 17-meter-high glass roof that now sits in the central courtyard.

Tom Flanagan, Managing Director Northern & Western Europe at Radisson Hotel Group, says, “France has long been a strategic market for Radisson Hotel Group, and we are proud to introduce our Radisson Collection brand with such an extraordinary landmark. The opening of Cour des Loges Lyon, A Radisson Collection Hotel, is a fitting debut — bringing the brand’s promise of exceptional, culturally rich hospitality to life. More than just a hotel, it is a destination where heritage, craftsmanship, and curated experiences come together to define the essence of luxury-lifestyle travel.”

The hotel offers 61 rooms and suites designed for various preferences. The Collection Superior Rooms are ideal for short stays, featuring warm textures and classic details that reflect the charm of Vieux-Lyon. For those seeking more space, the Collection Premium Rooms boast unique elements such as exposed wooden beams, fireplaces, and views of the courtyard. Junior Suites provide spacious layouts adorned with Renaissance-inspired décor, making them perfect for longer visits or romantic getaways. The Collection Suites represent the highest tier of accommodation, each uniquely named and decorated to highlight the building’s history while combining antique furniture with modern comforts. Every room serves as a distinctive retreat, reflecting the Radisson Collection’s commitment to local authenticity and curated experiences.

Cour des Loges Lyon is a Radisson Collection Hotel that features Les Loges, the hotel’s dining restaurant. Acclaimed Chef Anthony Bonnet has led the kitchen for nearly 20 years. He draws inspiration from his childhood in the Monts du Lyonnais and creates seasonal menus using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, many from his own garden. Bonnet respects the local terroir in his cooking. Les Loges is located beneath a beautiful glass canopy in the Renaissance courtyard. The restaurant provides an elegant dining experience that highlights Lyon’s culinary traditions and modern French cuisine.

The hotel has a bistro called Le Comptoir. It serves modern versions of classic dishes from Lyon and is great for casual dining on the terrace. The hotel’s spa, Pure Altitude, will open soon under the ancient stone vaults. This spa will have an indoor pool, a hammam, and a sauna. Its design honours the history of the building while creating a space for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Cour des Loges Lyon, A Radisson Collection Hotel, is located in the heart of Vieux Lyon. It provides a unique and historic venue for events. Each room has its own character. The Jeu de Paume Salon is a bright space with 17th-century arches. The Petit Collège features charming vaulted arches and Lyon silks. Agapes offers a cosy atmosphere with a fireplace.

The hotel has five meeting rooms, the Great Court, and two private courtyards, which are perfect for meetings, banquets, and cultural events.

As part of its renewed culinary direction, the iconic La Petite Loge will soon reopen following a renovation, offering an immersive space for chef-led tastings, private dinners, and gastronomic masterclasses. Blending old-world grandeur with modern sophistication, every event at Cour des Loges Lyon, A Radisson Collection Hotel is an invitation to experience timeless elegance, deeply rooted in Lyon’s cultural soul.

“We are honored to reopen Cour des Loges under the Radisson Collection flag,” says Yves Grardel, General Manager of Cour des Loges Lyon, A Radisson Collection Hotel.“Every corner whispers stories of craftsmanship, culture, and cuisine — woven together through meaningful moments and heartfelt hospitality in the heart of Vieux-Lyon.
