The Indian digital payment company PhonePe has announced a partnership with PickMe, a ride-hailing platform in Sri Lanka. According to the newly etched partnership, Indians in Sri Lanka will now be able to hail cabs through PickMe and pay through PhonePe’s UPI payment option. This will allow Indian tourists to go cashless and pay quickly with ease instead of dealing with the hassle of carrying cash and exchanged money in foreign countries. The move is aimed at making the island nation an even more desirable travel destination as the country witnesses many tourists from India.
