The Westin Sohna Resort and Spa has appointed Utsa Majumder as its new General Manager. A dynamic and visionary leader, Utsa offers over 20 years of experience in luxury hospitality, highlighted by her skills in operational excellence, guest-focused service, and strategic leadership.

Utsa graduated from St. Xavier’s Institution in Kolkata and began her hospitality career with Hyatt Hotels. Over nearly two decades, she has honed her leadership skills in various positions. Her remarkable career features key roles at Hyatt Regency Kolkata, Hyatt Regency Pune, Park Hyatt Goa Resort & Spa, Hyatt Place Hampi, and Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort. Before her role at The Westin Sohna Resort and Spa, she was General Manager at Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort, where she played a crucial role in enhancing the property’s status as a leading luxury destination.

Utsa passionately champions tourism and women's roles in hospitality. As president of the Himachal Pradesh WICCI Hospitality and Tourism Council, she led efforts to enhance tourism and empower women in the field. Her achievements include being recognized as one of the Top 20 General Managers of 2024 by Hospitality Tip of the Day and receiving the General Manager of the Year 2024 award from the Hospitality Excellence Awards.

In her new position, Utsa is committed to strengthening The Westin Sohna Resort and Spa’s status as India's premier luxury wellness destination. She aims to transform the resort into a haven of well-being by harmoniously blending immersive guest experiences, sustainability-focused initiatives, and outstanding hospitality.
