APPOINTMENT
Marriott International has appointed Ritesh Kumar Sinha as the new Director of Engineering for its properties in Kolkata. With an impressive background in engineering management within the hospitality industry, Ritesh brings extensive experience in operational efficiency, sustainability, and property maintenance to his new role.
Ritesh has had an extensive career in the hospitality sector, most recently serving as the Director of Engineering at Hyatt Regency Chandigarh. In this role, he oversaw engineering operations and ensured the smooth functioning of the property's infrastructure. Prior to this, he was the Chief Engineer at JW Marriott Mussoorie and Swissotel Kolkata, where he led engineering operations and implemented advanced maintenance systems to achieve operational excellence. Ritesh also held the position of Deputy Chief Engineer at Taj Hotels in Kolkata, where he developed his leadership skills at one of India’s most renowned hotel brands.
Ritesh’s engineering journey began as an Assistant Manager at the Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa. He then took a position at Mahindra Holidays & Resorts in Chennai, where he further honed his technical expertise. Ritesh holds a B.Tech in Engineering from Amravati University and completed his early education at St. Xavier’s School in Patna.
In his new position at Marriott International, Ritesh will manage the engineering operations for the Marriott properties in Kolkata. He will ensure that these properties maintain the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and guest comfort. With his extensive knowledge of hospitality engineering and commitment to sustainable practices, Ritesh will play a key role in driving Marriott’s operational success in Kolkata.
